Fall Mini Sessions in Atlanta – Don’t Miss Out! 🍂

What to Wear for your Spring Family Photos

Every year, my Fall Mini Sessions in Atlanta book up faster than a pumpkin spice latte disappears on a chilly morning. 🍁 The golden light, colorful leaves, and cozy outfits make this one of my absolute favorite times of the year to photograph families.

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to update your family photos, this is it — but you’ll need to be quick! These sessions go so fast every year. Make sure you’re subscribed to my mailing list to get first dibs when booking opens. That’s the only way to snag your spot before they’re gone.

Once you reserve your Fall Mini Sessions in Atlanta, I’ll send you a series of helpful emails to get you ready — from outfit inspiration to session details — so you can feel completely prepared.

What to Wear for Fall Photos

The goal is to look coordinated, not identical. Think warm, earthy tones that complement the fall scenery — shades of cream, camel, rust, olive, navy, and deep burgundy work beautifully. Add texture with knits, hats,or layered scarves. Use neutrals with pops of fall colors! more tips here and with Amanda here!!!

  • Avoid neon colors or large, distracting logos.
  • Mix patterns sparingly — for example, one person in a subtle plaid and others in solids.
  • Layers are your friend for comfort and style (and in case Atlanta decides to throw us a 75° “fall” day).

How to Prep Your Kids for a 20-Minute Mini

Mini sessions are quick, fun, and designed to capture the best of your family without overdoing it. Here’s how to set your little ones up for success:

  1. Talk about it like an adventure – let them know we’re going to have fun, play, and maybe even be a little silly.
  2. Full bellies = happy kids – a snack before the session works wonders.
  3. Bring one small comfort item (just in case) — sometimes a favorite stuffed animal can be worked into the photos in a sweet way.

If a Meltdown Happens…

First, don’t stress! It happens to every family at some point, and I promise we can still get amazing photos. I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve — games, prompts, and little distractions that often turn things around in minutes. The beauty of minis is that they’re short and sweet, so there’s no time for anyone to get too worn out. Try to distract and interact vs scolding!

After your session, I’ll carefully select and edit the best images. You can expect your gallery to be ready in about two weeks — just in time for holiday cards or gifting.

📅 Bottom line: Fall Mini Sessions in Atlanta are coming, and they will go quickly!
