I’ve had the pleasure of capturing countless magical moments between children and Santa. However, I know that the excitement of meeting the man in the red suit can sometimes be accompanied by a bit of nervousness. Here’s a guide to help you prepare your little ones for a joyful and stress-free Santa photoshoot, with tips on what to expect, how to choose the perfect outfits, and ways to make the experience fun and memorable.

Meeting Santa can be a big moment for kids, especially if it’s their first time. To help them feel at ease, talk about what will happen during the photoshoot. Explain that Santa is a friendly person who loves to hear about their Christmas wishes.

Timing is Everything: Arrive a little early so that you are not rushing and your child doesn’t feel that from you! Make time to find parking, make the final touches, grab a little snack, and be able to see the studio before your time.
