::Newborn FAQ & Information::
When is it best to book?
It is best to book your Newborn session as soon as possible! Please try to book at least a 2-3 months before your due date, as my schedule may be full! After you have paid the $150 booking fee and signed your contract, you will have a secure spot in my schedule for your Newborn session (whenever your little one decides to arrive!) Since we cannot usually plan the exact day, we will reserve time around your due date!
When should I let you know my little one has arrived and what comes next?
**Please make sure to call me or email me within 24 HOURS after your little one arrives! I know you will have a lot going on, but please take the time so that we can set a firm date for your session! For the best results, your session should happen during the first two weeks of life. During this time, your little one is very sleepy and can easily mold into those sweet poses! I will send you a Newborn Questionnaire to fill out before your session!
After you pay your booking fee and we have set up a firm date, I will send you an email with lots of detailed information! We will set up a call so that I can get to know you a little better and see what type of style you are looking for.
Where are the sessions held?
You will be able to choose from a session in your home or a session in my studio in Midtown. Props and posed sessions are photographed in my studio and lifestyle sessions are in your home!
How long does a session last?
Posed newborn sessions take about 2-3 hours on average and Lifestyle sessions take about 2 hours. We are on your baby’s time now! We leave time for diaper changes, feedings, and of course, getting your little one to sleep! The session includes parents and siblings photos. During the session, I do ask one of the parents to always sit very close to the baby, usually with a hand inches away. They are still so tiny, so safety is our number one priority.
Can I take photos with my camera or cell phone?
I want the photos that you see and share to be the final product. A photograph looks very different taken from a cell phone and after my editing process, so I ask that if you would like to take photos, that they are only “behind the scenes” of my posing or setting up.
When will I see my photos?
We will schedule a Ordering Appointment 2 weeks after your session to view and order your products and collections. After viewing your slideshow of photographs, I will walk you step by step through ordering prints, albums, and digital images.
